THE PACK COMES HOME
The Texas A&M University-Commerce Lions traveled to Dallas, Tuesday night to face Dallas Baptist, in a non-conference match. The Lions played strong, but were overtaken by the Patriots in four games (30-25,30-18,24-30 and 30-18). The ladies are now 9-18 overall, as they prepare to close out their season at home against Central Oklahoma University, Thursday Nov. 3.
COMPETING AGAINST THE BRONCHOS
A&M-Commerce will be facing the Central Oklahoma Lady Bronchos for the second time this season. In there last meeting the Lions fell to UCO in three games (19-30, 15-30 and 13-30), improving the Lady Bronchos record to 6-0 in conference play. The Lions are currently 0-5 in the last five meetings against UCO. The last time the Lions beat the Lady Bronchos was in Oct. 31, 2002, in five games.
A&M-Commerce comes into this Thursday's match, without a non-tournament conference win since, Oct. 1, when the Lions beat Midwestern State 3-1, giving them their first conference victory of the season.
The last time A&M-Commerce met the ladies of UCO, the Lions came out of the series with 8.5 team blocks against the Bronchos.
THE LADY BRONCHOS IN ACTION
The ladies of UCO, have clinched the Lone Star Conference North Division Championship, by beating the Southwestern Oklahoma Bulldogs, Oct. 28. in three games. The Lady Bronchos improved to 24-6 overall, and 10-0 in north division play. Top performers for the Lions to look after are LSC North offensive player of the week Kim Morgal, who had 23 kills with six service aces, six digs and five blocks during this past week's action.
