With preparations for the 2008 season underway, the Texas A&M University-Commerce volleyball team finished second at the recent Abilene Christian Spring Tournament.

The eight teams at the tournament - Angelo State, Hardin Simmons, McMurry, Midwestern State, Tarleton State, Western Texas JC and host Abilene Christian - were separated into two pools. The Lions were matched up in a pool against Abilene Christian, Western Texas JC and Hardin Simmons.

Playing in a best of three, A&M-Commerce swept through its pool with straight-set victories over its opponents before facing the other pool champion, Midwestern State in a final match. MSU defeated the Lions to close out the tournament.
