A&M-COMMERCE VOLLEYBALL ANNOUNCES FALL SCHEDULE

2006 Volleyball Schedule
COMMERCE, Texas - The 2006 fall schedule for the Lions women's volleyball team has been unveiled today by head coach Gwen Weatherford. The schedule highlights matches against some of the best teams in the South Central region and nation, including a match-up between regionally ranked No. 2 Washburn and No. 10 Arkansas Tech in the first tournament of the season. The Lions will begin their schedule on the road as they travel to Arkansas Tech for a four game tournament from Aug. 25-26, and will host a tournament of their own which includes LSC South Division's Tarleton State, Sept 1-2. The squad will also compete in two crossover tournaments before opening up league play. The first tournament will be played against LSC and Heartland teams and will then be rounded off with a crossover event against Lone Star Conference teams only. Both events will be hosted by LSC institutions, Midwestern State (LSC-Heartland Crossover) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (LSC Crossover). A&M-Commerce will start conference play on Sept. 12 hosting Southeastern Oklahoma State and cap off the 2006 season and league play on Oct. 28 as they travel to Lawton, Okla. to go up against Cameron. The Lions will continue to play at 7:00 p.m. during the week for conference games and 2:00 p.m. for Saturday matches, all central time. +++A&M-C+++
