VOLLEYBALL EDGED AT HENDERSON STATE

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Texas A&M University-Commerce women's volleyball team endured a 3-0 loss to Henderson State (Ark.) on the road Tuesday night in a rematch from Sept. 6. The final two games went to extended play as the Lady Reddies, improving to 7-10 overall, won on scores of 30-25, 37-35, and 32-30. The Lions (5-10) actually took a 29-28 lead in the second game after a 5-point run from an Amy Addison service and tied at 30-all in the final game after a Tosha Spain kill. In a reversal of the previous meeting, HSU was able to pull out the final two games with kills from Britnee James, who led all players with 15 kills. The Lions were led by freshman Brittany Williams' 13 kills, earning a 39.1 attack percentage on 23 attacks. Alicia Capparelli and Jackie Orr combined for 29 assists, while Colleen Favaro added seven kills and 3.5 blocks. The Lions return home for two matches this weekend to continue Lone Star Conference play. Texas Woman's visits the A&M-Commerce Field House at 7 p.m. Thursday, and Midwestern State travels to Commerce for a 2 p.m. contest on Saturday. +++A&M-C+++
