The Texas A&M-Commerce volleyball team won its second-straight match on Saturday defeating Southern Arkansas in straight sets, 30-20, 30-28, 30-24.

In the win, senior Colleen Favaro broke the school record for career kills with a game-high 16 kills. Favaro currently has 1,518 kills for her career, eclipsing the previous mark of 1,516 that was held by Amy Wallace.

In addition, A&M-Commerce (5-9) hit a season-high .360 in the non-conference win. Favaro was joined in double figures as senior Wannie Neal added 10 kills and junior setter Brittany Williams had 37 service assists and the Lions also had seven blocks.

Southern Arkansas (3-12) landed a pair of players in double figures in kills, including 12 from Cristina Correa and 11 from Kristina Daily.

The Lions will return to the court and Lone Star Conference action on Thursday when they travel to Tarleton State in a 7 pm match.
