MESA STATE TOPS LIONS IN 3

SAN ANGELO - Mesa State (Colo.) def. Texas A&M University-Commerce, 3-0 (30-23, 30-26, 30-23). The Lions are now 2-2 on the year after going 2-2 at Angelo State's Concho Volleyball Classic. The Lions return home Sept. 6 for a 7 p.m. game against Henderson State. *Correction: Due to confusion with a schedule change, the original release listed the Lions playing Metro State.
