Prior to TAMU-C: Attended Navarro Junior College with fellow newcomer Wannie Neal...a three-time all-district selection at Teague High School...as a senior, she was named second team all-state, team MVP as they were bi-district champions and an area finalist...also lettered four seasons in track and field and basketball...earned honorable mention all-state honors in track and field and was named team MVP twice...a two-time second team all-state selection in basketball.
