The Texas A&M-Commerce women's soccer team dropped its second-straight contest on Sunday, falling to No. 14 St. Edward's, 2-0.

The Lions (4-5) were held to a season-low four shots in the loss. Sophomore Meagan Lasley had a team-high two shots and sophomore goalkeeper Jennifer Alvarado made five saves in the defeat.

Following a scoreless first half for the second-straight game, St. Edward's got on the board when Kristen Gascoyne scored her fifth goal of the season in the 58th minute to put the host Hilltoppers in front 1-0. A&M-Commerce continued to challenge the St. Edward's defense on shots by Lasley and a header attempt by Bailey Geels. The Hilltoppers extended its lead to 2-0 with a goal from 20 yards out by Kristi Morgan with 25 seconds remaining in the contest to improve their record to 7-2.

Next, A&M-Commerce will turn its attention towards Lone Star Conference play when they host Northeastern State on Friday at 4 p.m. at the A&M-Commerce Soccer Complex. As part of the match, the Lions will also be celebrating US Youth Soccer Month.
