Heather Pantalion and Jamie Gililland Lead A&M-Commerce in Day One of Lone Star Conference Championships

First Round Results in PDF Format Junior Jamie Gililland and sophomore Heather Pantalion shot a first round 78 to lead the Texas A&M University-Commerce women's golf team during Monday's first round of the Lone Star Conference Championship.
The 78 by the Gililland and Pantalion are the second lowest rounds of the season for the two as both are tied for ninth-place overall with a six-over par. A stroke behind them is freshman Megan Benites, who shot a career-best 79 and is tied for 11th with Maury Shock of Tarleton State. As a team, the Lions shot a 318 and are seven-strokes behind No. 9 Northeastern State (311) and 16 behind No. 5 Tarleton State (302). Carla Cooper of Tarleton State and Stephanie Bird are tied for first with a 74. Junior Ali Tanner is tied for 19th with an 83 and freshman Mallory Kempf is 38th with a 95. The final round of the championship will get underway on Tuesday with Megan Benites teeing off at 9:03 a.m. at the WinStar Golf Course in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
