Sophomore Heather Pantalion shot her second-straight round of 82 to lead the Texas A&M University-Commerce women's golf team to a 17th-place finish on Tuesday in the final round of the Grand Canyon Women's Invitational. Pantalion ended the two-day tournament with a 164 (82-82) and tied for 51st to lead the Lions.

A&M-Commerce posted a two-day total of 677 (335-342) en route to a 17th-place finish. California Baptist, who is ranked No. 9 in NAIA, won the tournament title in a playoff over St. Edwards with a two-day total of 615 (310-305). Leading CBU was Adriana Niclotti, who shot a 149 (76-73). First Round leader Stephanie Byrd of Northeastern State held on for a one-stroke victory over runner up Alex Smith of St. Edwards. Byrd shot a two-day total of a three-over par 147 (71-76).

Lions' freshman Megan Benites tied for 69th with a 169 (82-87) and junior Ali Tanner posted a 171 (84-87) to share in 71st-place honors. Freshman Mallory Kempf was 84th with a 186 (92-94) to round out the A&M-Commerce lineup.

A&M-Commerce will wrap up its season with its next tournament as they return to Thackerville, Oklahoma for the Lone Star Conference Tournament, starting on April 20th.
