Britney Jordan Named to the 2008 WBCA All-American Honorable Mention Team

Texas A&M University-Commerce junior Britney Jordan was named a WBCA Honorable Mention All-American on Wednesday.
Jordan has also been named to the 2007-08 Daktronics All-South Central Regional team and was a first team all-Lone Star Conference North Division honoree for the second straight year. Jordan led the Lions in seven categories including scoring (19.6 ppg), assists (120), steals (57), field goals made (186), field goals attempted (529), 3-point field goals made (62), 3-point field goals attempted (199) and was second in free throws made (96) and free throws attempted (135) en route to leading A&M-Commerce to a 19-9 record. The Peoria, Illinois native has also been one of the top players in the nation and in the Lone Star Conference. She ranks in nine-different categories on the national level. Among Division II players, Jordan is 18th in scoring (19.6 ppg), 61st in 3-point field goals per game (2.3), 64th in assists (4.4 apg), 98th in 3-point field goal percentage (31.2 percent), 131st in steals (2.1 spg), 172nd in field goal percentage (35.2 percent) and 204th in assist-to-turnover ratio (0.94). In the LSC, Jordan finished second in 3-point field goals made (2.30), third in scoring (19.6), fourth in assists (4.44) and fifth in steals (2.11). Earlier this year, she set the school record for assists in a career. In two seasons, she has dished out 296 assists, averaging a program-best 5.5 assists per game. Marshal was named a Daktronics Third Team All-American in 2006-07.
