Canyon, Texas - No. 21 West Texas A&M started the second half on a 20-5 run, including six in a row from Courtney Lee, to start the second half en route to a 61-45 win over No. 13 Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Three West Texas A&M players scored in double digits, including a game-high 19 from junior Emily Brister to lead the Lady Buffs; plus Lee added 12 and junior Jamie Dreiling scored 11 in the win. The win is the third in a row for WT, who improves to 3-2 and extends the Lady Buffs home winning streak at the First United Bank Center to 35 games.

A&M-Commerce (4-2) senior Katedria Mosley posted her second double double of the season, scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Britney Jordan added a team-high 15, including the final seven points for the Lions in the loss.

Mosley put herself into the A&M-Commerce record book, making two free throws with 6:24 left in the game. The two free throw attempts gives the Idabel, Oklahoma native 530 attempts for her career eclipsing the previous mark held by Alice Fortes.

The defense for both teams was the highlight of the first half. The Lions held West Texas to 33.3% shooting and forced 11 turnovers. With five-straight points to close out the first 20 minutes, A&M-Commerce entered the intermission with a 23-22 deficit.

Mosley scored eight points and had seven rebounds at the halftime break to lead the Lions and Dreiling had seven points and five rebounds in the first half to pace the Lady Buffs.

The Lions will look to resume its winning ways on Saturday with a 3 pm contest against Eastern New Mexico in Portales. The game will be carried live on KETR - 88.9 FM.
