Despite a 38-point effort from junior Britney Jordan, the Texas A&M University-Commerce women's basketball team dropped an 88-82 decision to Abilene Christian on Thursday afternoon.

A&M-Commerce (19-9) started the second half with a 17-5 run to overcome an 11-point halftime deficit. The conclusion of their run was a lay up by Katedria Mosley to give the Lions their first and only lead of the game, 55-54, with 11:08 left in the contest.

With the lay up by Mosley, she became the all-time leading scorer in school history on the bucket as the Idabel, Oklahoma native ended the game with 14 points, giving her 1,601 for her career, passing Meshell Graham (1,600, 1984-88).

After the Lions had rallied to take the lead, Abilene Christian retaliated with an 11-0 to regain the lead for the remainder of the contest.

Abilene Christian (18-10) tandem of Audrey Maxwell and Alex Guiton, who both were named first team all-Lone Star Conference South Division, scored 33 and 22 points, respectively. Maxwell, who scored the first eight points of the game, posted her 12th double double of the season with a game-high 13 rebounds.

Also, in the loss, Jordan also dished out a season-high 12 assists to tie the Lone Star Conference Tournament record. The 12 assists also match a career-high for the Peoria, Illinois native. She wraps up her second season as a Lion with 1,196 which would eclipse the A&M-Commerce two-year career record for scoring.
