Texas A&M-Commerce went on a decisive 7-0 run over the final 1:16 to clinch their second consecutive Lone Star Conference North Division victory by knocking off regionally ranked Southeastern Oklahoma State 82-79 on Saturday at the A&M-Commerce Field House.

A&M-Commerce (14-7, 2-1) sophomore guard Britney Jordan followed up a 27-point performance in Wednesday's victory over East Central by scoring a game-high 28 points. Senior guard Kanani Marshal added 18 points and seven rebounds, while Dawn Montgomery and Katedria Mosley scored nine and eight, respectively.

Southeastern Oklahoma State, (13-5, 3-1) who led by as many as 13, 62-49, midway through the second half of play was led by freshman Kasey Russell, who scored a team and career-high 26 points and connected on 6-of-9 three-point attempts. Junior Jessica Hocker chipped in 15 points for the Savage Storm.

The Lions opened the game on an 11-2 run and led throughout the first half to take a 42-39 lead into halftime.

The Savage Storm responded by opening the second half with a 15-5 run to take their first lead of the contest, 48-47, with 16:15 remaining.

With 1:26 remaining in the contest, Jordan connected on an eight-foot jumper to pull the Lions within two, 79-77. Following a missed three-point attempt by the Savage Storm, Jordan pushed the ball up the court and found an open Tarika Campbell under the basket. Campbell made the lay-up and connected on a free throw to finish the conventional three-point play and to give the Lions an 80-79 lead, their first since the 18:02 mark of the second half.

Marshal sealed the victory with two clutch free throws with 13 seconds left to put the game out of reach.

The Lions host Central Oklahoma at 6 p.m. on Monday at the A&M-Commerce Field House. The game serves as a make-up, which was originally scheduled for January 17, but was postponed due to weather conditions.
