Sophomore Britney Jordan recorded her second double-double of the season and paced four Lions in double figures as Texas A&M-Commerce won its school record seventh in a row with a 80-51 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday afternoon.

The Peoria, Illinois native had 16 points and 10 assists as Texas A&M-Commerce raised its record to 12-6. Junior Dominee Evans, who scored 17, senior Dawn Montgomery added 14 and senior Kanani Marshal chipped in 12, joined her in double figures. The Javelinas, who fall to 5-10, were led by the double-double performance of Angela Trotter, who scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss.

The Lions led throughout the contest and extended the lead to as much as 34 with 4:58 left in the game.

In the opening half, the Lions shot 57.1% from the field and outscored Texas A&M-Kingsville, 22-0 on points off turnovers for a 20-point halftime lead, 42-22. With a five-point advantage, 20-15 with 8:39 left in the first half, the Lions closed out the half on a 22-7 run to go in front by 20 at the break.

In the second half after reducing the Lions lead to 18, 50-32 with 14:12 left, Marshal showed why she is a legit All-American candidate when she made three trifectas on three-consecutive possessions midway through the final 20 minutes. Montgomery hit a pair of three pointers down the stretch to spark Texas A&M-Commerce. For the game, the senior from Irving went 4-for-4 from beyond the arc.

Next, the Lions will remain home to take on Central Oklahoma on Wednesday at 6 pm at the A&M-Commerce Field House. The contest will be the first of three "Nights Out at the Field House" that will allow Lions fans to watch the 6 p.m. women's game and the 8 p.m. men's game while eating dinner at the "Lion Cafe." Free childcare will also be offered at the "Cub Court," provided by the Children's Learning Center and the A&M-Commerce Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In addition, the NCAA's JJ Jumper will be on hand and doing demonstrations through the two contests.
