Daniel Swaim Earns LSC North Special Teams Player of the Week for a Fourth Time

Nov. 12, 2007

For a fourth time in 2007, Texas A&M University-Commerce junior punter Daniel Swaim earned Lone Star Conference North Division Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

The Kilgore, Texas native took advantage of the windy conditions in Saturday's game against Southwestern Oklahoma to punt the ball eight times for 327 yards and an average of 40.9 yards. Swaim had three punts that sailed into the end zone and one that landed inside the 20-yard line. The eight punts match a season-high for the Lions punter.

A&M-Commerce ended the season with a 5-6 overall and 3-2 mark in the Lone Star Conference North Division. The Lions share the LSC North title with Southwestern Oklahoma, Central Oklahoma, Southeastern Oklahoma and Northeastern State.
