Daniel Swaim Repeats as LSC North Special Teams Player of the Week

Sept. 23, 2007

Commerce, Texas

For the second-straight week, Texas A&M-Commerce junior punter Daniel Swaim was named Lone Star Conference North Division Special Teams Player of the Week. It is the fourth weekly honor that the Lions have earned in 2007.

In Saturday's 24-7 loss to Tarleton State, Swaim punted the ball seven times for 294 yards and an average of 42 yards per kick. His first punt of the game was his longest of the game - a 50-yard boot. He had one punt downed inside the 20 and another that went into the end zone for a touchback.

For the season, he is averaging a conference leading 42.4 yards per kick. The same average as three-time all-Lone Star Conference punter Chris Miller, who last kicked for the Lions in 2003.
