2007: 2007: Named to the Don Hansen Football Gazette All-Southwest Region Third Team...selected as the Lone Star Confernece North Division Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year along with Austin Ellis of Southwestern Oklahoma State...earned first team all-Lone Star Conference North Division honors...anchor of an offensive line that averaged 111.1 yards per game on the ground and 196.9 yards through the air...a lead blocker for Nabil El-Amin, who rushed for over 100 yards and an offense that averaged 354.4 yards a game in the last five games of the season.

2006: Earned All-American honors in track and field in the discus with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships...had a season-best throw in the finals with a toss of 167-8...only the third All-American in the discus in school history.

Prior to A&M-Commerce: Teammate of William Green at Kilgore JC...originally was a tight end before moving to center for his sophomore year...a two-time all-district, all-state selection in football at Longview High School...he was also a two-time letterwinner in powerlifting and in track and field; in addition to football...anchored an offensive line that averaged 367.4 yards per game, with 2,143 yards on the ground as a senior...advanced to the state track and field meet in the discus as a senior...once held the Longivew High School record for a hang clean lift of 325 lbs.
