2005: Played in seven games in the backfield for the Lions, earning second team all-Lone Star Conference honors while blocking for offensive back of the year teammate Cliff Edwards...had a season-high three carries for four yards against Central Oklahoma (Sept. 24)...scored on a one-yard touchdown plunge against Tarleton State (Sept. 3) for the Lions only touchdown on the afternoon...also had carries against Midwestern State (Sept. 10), Abilene Christian ((Sept. 17) and Southeastern Oklahoma (Oct. 15)...picked up his first reception against UCO (Sept. 24).

Prior to A&M-Commerce: As a freshman, he played at Blinn Junior College, where he scored two touchdowns on four carries...at Westwood High School in Austin, he was a three-year letterwinner in football and in powerlifting, also earned two letters in track and field...he earned all-district and all-CenTex honors as a junior and senior as a defensive lineman, where he collected 150 tackles with 15 sacks throughout his career...a three-time academic all-district honoree.

Personal: Born April 29, 1986...son of Dick and Karla Grimes...father played at Southern Arkansas from 1976-1979 and uncle Randy played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1986 to 1996...married to the former Randi Jones and they have a son, Dixon...majoring in business administration.
