Jamie Critchlow returns to Texas A&M-Commerce after spending the last two seasons as the head coach at Tyler Junior College. In two seasons, he led the Apaches to a 9-9 mark. Last year, Tyler Junior College ranked fourth in the NJCAA in passing offense, averaging 235 yards a game and eighth in total offense, averaging 355 yards a contest. In 2005, TJC was 12th in the nation in passing offense and 24th in rushing offense. Before coaching at TJC, Critchlow was an assistant coach for the Lions in 2004 and was an offensive line coach at TJC from 1998-2003. A former standout at both Tyler Junior College and Oregon State, Critchlow was a first team all-conference selection as a sophomore at TJC and honorable mention all-PAC 10 as a senior at Oregon State. Also, in his senior year at Oregon State, he was named the team's Dee Andros "Heart" Award recipient. He completed his associate's degree at TJC in 1994, his bachelor's at Oregon State in 1997 and his master's degree at the University of Texas at Tyler in 2001. Critchlow is married to the former Stephanie Thayer of Kemmerer, Wyoming and they have two children, Carley and Colton. |
