2005: Emerged as one of the starting cornerbacks along with high school teammate Danny Cobbin...sixth on the team with 41 tackles including a fourth-best 23 solo tackles...broke up three passes to finish tied for third...had an interception in the 37-16 rout of Southwestern Oklahoma (Nov. 5) and a fumble recovery in the 31-10 win over Northeastern State (Oct. 22)...had six tackles against Central Oklahoma (Sept. 24) and five against Abilene Christian (Sept. 17).

Prior to A&M-Commerce: Spent his first two seasons at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, where he saw considerable action including all 11 games as a sophomore...made 56 tackles over the two years, including two pass break ups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery...during his sophomore year, he had 11 tackles, including nine solo stops against McNeese State on a game that was regionally broadcast on Fox Sports Net...a three-sport letterwinner at Carter High School, earning letters in football, basketball and track...in football, he led the team with five interceptions as a captain his senior year...ran on the state championship 4x400-meter relay team...a member of the National Honor Society and graduated third in his class.
