The athletic department at Texas A&M University-Commerce will host the annual Ernest Hawkins Golf Classic on Friday, August 1, at Webb Hill Country Club in Wolfe City.

A $100 entry fee per person covers lunch, green fee, cart rental, practice range and dinner. A four-person shamble will be played on holes 1-9 with a scramble being played on holes 10-18. To sign up, interested individuals can either download the enclosed registration form or contact the athletic department at A&M-Commerce.

Individuals, corporations and businesses can sponsor holes for $100 each by contacting the athletic department at A&M-Commerce.

Registration and a silent auction will get underway at noon with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams and a hamburger/fellowship dinner will be served at the conclusion of the event.

The tournament honors the football coach with the most victories in school history and serves as the primary fundraiser for the athletic department.
