Scooby Johnson Earns Pair of LSC Honors

Senior Scooby Johnson earned a few honors on Tuesday as the Lone Star Conference men's basketball postseason awards were announced by league officials.
Johnson was named the Lone Star Conference North Division Newcomer of the Year and was selected First Team All-Lone Star Conference North Division. Teammate senior Kevin Widemond earned his second all-conference honor, earning second team accolades after picking up honorable mention recognition, last year. The Lions, who finished fourth in the LSC North Division, will take on
West Texas A&M, who won the LSC South Division, on Wednesday at 2:30
p.m. Earlier this year, West Texas A&M defeated A&M-Commerce, 72-65 in
Canyon on November 29th.
