Slaughter returns for his second year as a graduate assistant coach for the Lions. A 2003 graduate of the University of Texas-Dallas with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Slaughter is continuing his education, by pursuing a second bachelor's degree in education at A&M-Commerce. An outstanding high school athlete at Seagoville, Slaughter averaged 13 points, five rebounds and four assists a game for SHS, earning defensive player of the year honors twice. Additionally, he was the district's 400 meter champ in track and was a standout defensive back in football. He attended Paris Junior College and was the president of the African-American Student Union from 1999-2001. Born 2-21-80, Slaughter is the son of Layton and Donna Slaughter of Dallas. |
