Prior to A&M-Commerce: Played at Independence Community College from 2001-2003, averaged 13 points and four steals a game...also competed on the track and field team, where he was a region champ in the long jump...at Independence High School, he was a three-time letterwinner in basketball and twice in track and field....earned all-state and all-league honors three-consecutive years in basketball...a nominee for the McDonald's All-American team...he had a career-best game against Columbus, where he scored 28 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had eight steals...in track and field, he set the school record in high jump and triple jump.
