RICHARDSON, Texas -Texas A&M University-Commerce senior Ryan Dirickson has been named the Lone Star Conference cross country Male Runner of the Week for the week of October 13.

Dirickson won the honors by winning the Tarleton State Invitational on Saturday with the time of 28:07.17 on an 8-kilometer course. The first place finish for the Mesquite native, became the 10 first place in his career as a Lion. The senior also set the tone for the Lions, as the men placed one through five at the Tarleton State Invitational.

Dirickson's currently has the seventh best time in the conference running the 8-kilometer course, with the time of 26:12.90 from the Missouri Southern Stampede meet on Sept. 17. He also ranks eighth in the LSC at the 4 mile race, with the time of 21:31.00 marked at the UTA Movin' Mavs Challenge, Sept. 10.

Dirickson, along with the rest of the pack will be gearing up for this coming week, as they prepare for the annual Lone Star Conference Cross Country Championships, which are set for Saturday, Oct. 22, in Weatherford, Okla.
