The Texas A&M-Commerce women's cross country team finished 13th overall out of 19 teams, at the NCAA South Central Regional held Saturday morning in Warrensburg, Missouri.

The women's cross country team was lead by a career-best performance by Tiara Medlock . Medlock who finished 44th overall, finished with a time of 23:39.60, eclipsing her previous best by nearly 10 seconds. Following Medlock, was Niki Williams who placed 48th overall, with a time of 23:44.40. Rounding out the lineup for the Lions women were Sheila Bishop (80th / 25:20.50), Kara Bickel (98th / 25:57.40), Haley Wright (109th / 26:41.10), and Andra Bickel (116th / 27:00.90).

Alfredo Soto, was the lone runner for the men and finished the 10k race 54th overall, with a time of 34:51.90 in his first career 10k.

Lone Star Conference foe Abilene Christian University swept both titles. On the women's side, ACU had two runners finish in the top-6, led by Olha Kryv'yak with a 4th place finish, and a time of 22:06.60. On the men's side, ACU claimed the top-4 spots, with Nicodemus Naimadu winning the race with a time of 31:34.40.

The meet ends the cross country season, who will turn their training towards the upcoming track and field season which will begin in January 2007.
