Lions Cross Country Competes at Cowboy Jamboree

Men's Results
The Texas A&M-Commerce women's cross country team finished 10th out of 23 teams at the 70th running of the Cowboy Stampede on Saturday morning. Lone Star Conference rival Angelo State won the team title, placing three runners in the top 13. Another LSC representative Rachel Ingram of Southwestern Oklahoma was the individual champion in 18:37, a ten-second victory over her closest competitor. Senior Niki Williams, who was the first A&M-Commerce runner across the line for the 15th-straight meet in a time of 19:65, led the Lions, who are ranked No. 8 in the NCAA Division II South Region. The 16th-place finish for the Fayetteville, Arkansas is her 11th top-20 finish in her career. The next two A&M-Commerce finishers were separated by 23 seconds, when junior Tiara Medlock crossed the line in 27th in 20:05 and freshman Sheila Bishop was 41st in a time of 20:28. Next, freshman Haley Wright set a personal best by 11 seconds, finishing in 21:19 and 78th place overall and rounding out the Lions lineup was senior Andra Bickel, who finished 108th and in 22:34.
