LION WOMEN FINISH 4TH AT LSC CHAMPIONSHIPS, MEN 7TH

DURANT, Okla. - The Texas A&M University-Commerce women's cross country team finished fourth at the Lone Star Conference Championships on Saturday, while on the men's side the Lions ended seventh.

Adeh Mwamba led her Abilene Christian team to an overall first-place finish with the top time of 21:51.85 on the 6,000-meter course at Southeastern Oklahoma State.

ACU also claimed title as the men's top team with five of the first finishers. Martin Okello sparked the team win with a first-place 24:14.27 finish on the 8,000-meter course.

Niki Williams led the Lions after finishing fifth with a time of 23:50.95. Tiara Medlock was ninth out of 70 runners with a time of 24:11.41, while Valarie Ponce was 21st at 25:14.32. Kara Bickel was 43rd at 27:00.07, and Jessica Muhlstein ended 49th with a 27:37.68 time.

Cameron Reynolds was the top Lions finisher at 23rd at 27:12.08. Ryan Dirickson finished at 27:31.80 for 29th out of 52 runners. Bryan Garcia was 35th with a time of 28:02.08, while Mark Abelson was 45th at 29:43.03. Caleb Reynolds rounded out the Lions with a time of 32:32.39 in 51st place.
