Meet Information
Memorial Stadium Commerce, Texas
Texas A&M University-Commerce
1. The track and field meet will be held at Texas A&M University-Commerce, Hwy. 50, Commerce, Texas.
2. The scratch meeting will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25th in the Texas A&M University-Commerce cafeteria. Use the west entrance of the Sam Rayburn Student Center to enter the meeting. Entries confirmation and coaches' packets pick-up will also be in the cafeteria from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Packets will include general information, competitor numbers, pins, event schedules, roster sheets, lane assignments, field events order, and coaches passes. After 10:00 AM on Friday and all day Saturday, coaches' packets may be picked up at the PASS GATE.
3. Each coach's packet will include two passes. Those wearing passes will enter the stadium area at the pass gate (main stadium entrance, south door). No other passes will be honored.
4. Team members will enter the stadium at the pass gate by wearing their competitor number. Protests: Protests must be filed in writing within 15 minutes of the conclusion of an event.
5. All individuals are reminded that no outside food or drink is permitted inside Memorial Stadium.
6. Entries: All entries must be submitted in an electronic format. Results from the district meet in HY-Tek or in a typed format with performances will be accepted. Typewritten or emailed entries can also be submitted via email to Danny Kambel - Daniel_Kambel@tamu-commerce.edu. Typewritten entries can also be faxed to (903) 468-3033. Please format all entries in this manner: Last Name, First Name. NO HANDWRITTEN RESULTS WILL BE ACCEPTED! All entries are due by Friday, April 18th.
7. Weigh in Times: Implements can be weighed on Friday and Saturday at 9:00 am at the Southwest end of the stadium in the T-Lounge. The pole vault poles can be checked and weigh-ins will be held on the opposite end from the long jump on the Pole Vault pad.
8. To eliminate the congestion we had in 2007 with the long jump and pole vault, the scheduled time for these two events will be: 9:00 a.m. Long Jump; 9:00 a.m. Pole Vault check in at the opposite end from the long jump; 10:00 a.m. Pole Vault.
9. No radios, video or digital camcorders, tape recorders or cell phones are allowed at ANY TIME in the field of competition, track or in the infield or training tent. Such items must remain in the stands ONLY and can be confiscated by meet staff if they are in restricted areas.
10. According to UIL instructions, the infield is reserved for participant warm up and NO coaches are allowed on the infield.
11. Admission to the track meet will be charged on Friday and Saturday. A one-day pass will be $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for students. Two-day passes will be available on Friday at a cost of $18.00 for adults and $10.00 for students.
12. Concessions: Available both Friday and Saturday. Ice for injury treatment and water is available from the Athletic Training Staff, not at the concession stands.
13. The triple jump boards are 24, 30, 32 and 40 feet from the pit.
14. At the 1995 Spring Regional meeting of the District Executive Committee, it was agreed that each District would furnish three workers to help officiate the Regional Track Meet. These individuals will be utilized only if necessary and will be notified prior to April 25. Please furnish these names, addresses, telephone numbers, and expertise to: Rich Lawrence
