GIRLS' AND BOYS' TENNIS INFORMATION

(APRIL 22-23)

1. All entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 17. Submit entries via fax or email Neil_Piper@tamu-commerce.edu to Neil Piper, UIL Tennis Director, P.O. Box 3011, Commerce, TX 75429-3011. Fax (903) 468-3033.

A meeting of the seeding committee will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21 at the Eagles' Landing Tennis Center where drawings for pairings will be held. The seeding committee consists of the tennis chairman from each district.

2. Starting Times:

8:30 a.m.-Coaches' meetings at Eagles' Landing Tennis Center 9.00 a.m-Singles (To be determined) Doubles will follow Singles Mixed Doubles Will follow Doubles

Check-in will be 30 minutes before scheduled match. Other times will be scheduled during the coaches' meeting. Players not registered and ready for play at the scheduled times will be defaulted 15 minutes after scheduled time of play.

3. Format: Single Elimination--All matches will be the best two out of three sets with a twelve point tie breaker at 6-all. The tie breaker will be used in all sets. U.S.T.A. rules will be used to govern the matches.
NOTE: Playoff for Second Place - the loser in the finals will play the winner of the third place match (to determine second place) unless these two contestants (or doubles teams) played each other in the semifinal round.

4. Each participant must have two cans of unopened Wilson U.S.T.A. optic yellow hard court tennis balls. Each winner will advance to the next round with two cans of unused balls; the loser will keep the remaining balls.

5. The seeding information sheet must be received by Thursday, April 17. A player will not be considered for seeding if this form is not completed and returned by said date.No other information other than the seeding information sheet will be considered by the seeding committee.
